Neeta & Shravan’s Rippon Hall Wedding, Wanaka

Neeta & Shravan’s Rippon Hall wedding in Wanaka was the kind of day you dream about. Pastel hues, elegant black-tie style, and the most breathtaking mountain and lake views. Their wedding was part of a two-day celebration, but this day at Rippon was truly unforgettable. It was such an honour to have their wedding featured in Together Journal and I’m so excited to share some of my favourite moments here.

A Love Rooted in Friendship

“We were friends first, which helped us truly get to know each other without any pressure,” Neeta told Together Journal. “It wasn’t dramatic or flashy, just a really organic unfolding of something meaningful.”

That foundation of deep friendship, mutual respect, and lots of laughter shone through every part of their wedding day. Their connection was calm, genuine, and effortless. The kind of love story that feels timeless.

The Venue – Rippon Hall

Rippon Hall is one of the most iconic venues in Wanaka with sweeping views across Lake Wanaka and the Southern Alps. The outdoor amphitheatre is a dream ceremony spot while the hall itself is rustic, modern, and endlessly versatile.

As Neeta put it: “The beauty of Wanaka did most of the heavy lifting. The scenery was breathtaking – you didn’t need to do much to make it feel magical.”

Pastel Ceremony by the Lake

For their afternoon ceremony, guests arrived in soft pastel colours that glowed against the backdrop of the lake and mountains. White and ivory florals created an elegant and serene atmosphere while a mirrored walkway and clear mandap gave the illusion of floating blooms.

The couple wanted a mood that was minimal yet intentional. Letting nature shine without being overpowered. It was heartfelt, romantic, and so uniquely them.

Black-Tie Evening Reception

As the sun set, the day transformed into an elegant black-tie evening. Rippon Hall was filled with glowing candles, cascading florals, and warm draping that created the most inviting atmosphere.

Food was an important focus. “We’re both massive foodies, and we wanted our guests to really remember the flavours and the experience,” said Neeta. Guests dined on incredible dishes by Queenstown Catering while the room buzzed with speeches, laughter, and dancing late into the night.

The day was planned and styled to perfection by Catseye Events who also brought lush florals and thoughtful design to every corner of Rippon.
